Markets faced broad pressure today as renewed concerns over AI-driven disruption weighed heavily on the technology sector, particularly software stocks. A new release from Anthropic highlighting advanced “computer-use” capabilities for its Claude AI agent sparked fears that traditional software business models could be challenged, triggering sector-wide selling.
