We had a great start to the day, as our Baltimore Chop 2SD Opening Gap Scanner handed us a short sale opportunity in Spotify (SPOT) with a $6 per share traded profit objective. SPOT was trading on relatively tight spreads for a $450 stock, and had great liquidity. The trigger came on a 1-2-3 trading signal, and the profit target was served up in minutes.
The rest of the session was dampened a bit by a brush fire near our home in Pacific Palisades, so Julie and my attention was a bit distracted. However, as you can see in today’s results section, the profits kept increasing.
When the fires around our family home were out, we got back to business and traded the Volatility Bands into the close. Tonight’s video covers a closing trade in TSLA that worked out exactly as planned.
