Today’s session highlighted the importance of trading inflection points rather than predicting moves. In Tesla, the initial expectation was for continued downside with short setups on rallies, but a shift in geopolitical news triggered strong upside momentum, creating a parabolic extension.
Rather than chasing the move or shorting prematurely into strength, the focus was on identifying key confluence at the central pivot, supported by volume-by-price and visible order flow on the book. The trade opportunity emerged only after price confirmed a turn, forming a clear peak and beginning a structured pullback.
From there, the setup evolved into a textbook 1-2-3 inflection pattern, allowing for a controlled entry on the retracement and a defined exit using bracket orders. The emphasis was on:
- Waiting for confirmation instead of anticipating reversals
- Using predefined profit targets (e.g., $1–$2 brackets)
- Managing risk through position sizing and structured stops
The trade ultimately hit its target cleanly, reinforcing the core principle:
👉 Focus on geometry, structure, and confirmation, not prediction.
This was a strong example of how disciplined execution around inflection points can produce consistent results—even in fast-moving, news-driven conditions.

Markets got an early boost this morning after a softer-than-expected PPI report helped ease inflation concerns and lifted futures into the open. That gave us a constructive tone, but as we’ve seen recently, follow-through was limited and the session quickly transitioned into a slower, more rotational environment.
This was not a strong trend day. Instead, it was a two-way trade where patience and structure mattered. The best opportunities came from countertrend setups, particularly Infield Fly and Double Header Reversals, which showed up as the market struggled to hold early strength.
As the day developed, we also saw geometric pullbacks create cleaner entries in the direction of the prevailing intraday move. These setups provided traders with defined risk and allowed for participation without chasing extended price action.
Technology names stabilized after recent pressure, but there was still no broad leadership to drive a sustained move higher. Instead, this was a session where traders had to stay selective, focus on location, and rely on predefined setups rather than momentum.
Bottom line: The PPI data set the tone, but execution opportunities came from structure—not speed. Traders who stayed patient and waited for Infield Fly, Double Header, and pullback entries were able to find opportunity in an otherwise slow tape.
