Trading Recap Focus Video

I bought Tesla on the break of $367 and took my planned $368 exit. It pushed a little higher—then reversed below $364.

In this trade breakdown, I show you what supported the entry and why I chose that exit before placing the trade:

• A breakout above the premarket trading range
• Aggressive buying on Bookmap that was moving price higher
• Positive options flow and price above the $365 hedge wall
• Roughly 68,000 shares of resting sell liquidity at $368
• A simple $1 target / $1 stop bracket

Then we review the selling that followed—and why holding out for more can turn a completed trade into a missed opportunity.

Today's Trading Recap

Post-Market Wrap — September 3, 2026

U.S. stocks rallied Thursday as easing Treasury yields and reduced fears of an immediate Federal Reserve rate hike brought buyers back into equities. The Dow gained 1.2%, the S&P 500 rose 1.15%, and the Nasdaq climbed 1.57%, with large-cap technology leading the advance.

Fed Governor Christopher Waller helped sentiment after indicating he could support holding rates steady in September if inflation pressures continue to ease. The 10-year Treasury yield slipped toward 4.76%, relieving some of the valuation pressure that weighed on stocks earlier this week.

Among the day’s winners, Snowflake jumped 18.3% after strong AI-driven results and an improved outlook. Meta gained 3.5%, Microsoft rose 3%, and Nvidia advanced 2.3%, helping drive the Nasdaq higher.

On the losing side, Broadcom fell 2.9% as investors focused on an outlook that did not meet elevated AI expectations. Hewlett Packard Enterprise slipped 0.5%, while Tyson Foods and Victoria’s Secret also moved lower following disappointing company updates.

Oil remained elevated but relatively stable, with WTI around $91 and Brent near $95.50, keeping inflation concerns in the background. Attention now turns squarely to Friday’s August employment report, which could quickly shift expectations for Fed policy and Treasury yields.

Bottom line: Falling yields and renewed strength in mega-cap technology gave bulls control Thursday. Friday’s jobs report is the next major catalyst, with rates, oil, and the reaction in leading tech names likely to determine whether the rally can continue.
